Assam NEET PG Provisional Merit List 2026 Released; Grievance Window Open Till October 16

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the provisional merit list of NEET PG 2026 for Assam state quota seats. The list was provided by the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS) and is available on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates whose names are missing from the list can submit their application till October 16, 2026.

The merit list is for admission to 50% of the postgraduate seats in the government medical colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati, for the 2026 session.

The list also includes 23 PwD candidates across categories, who are not counted in the rows above. For each candidate, the list gives the roll number, gender, category, NEET PG 2026 score and rank, permanent address state and MBBS state.

Eligibility for Assam PG Counselling

• The candidate must have appeared in NEET PG 2026 and secured the cut-off score declared by NBEMS, or above
• The candidate must be eligible under the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021, as amended up to date
• The candidate’s name and NEET PG 2026 roll number must be in the state provisional merit list

Grievance Window: What to Do if Your Name Is Missing

Candidates who are eligible under the PG rules but whose names are not in the provisional merit list must apply on plain paper, with relevant documents, to the Director of Medical Education.

• Submit the application by hand at the DME office (2nd floor, Room No. 5), Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22
• The last date is October 16, 2026, during office hours
• Applications sent by post or email will not be accepted
• Collect the acknowledgement receipt when you submit
• No application will be considered after the last date

Assam NEET PG Counselling 2026 Dates

The DME has said the online counselling dates for the 50% PG state quota seats will follow the schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The dates will be announced on dme.assam.gov.in. The MCC has announced that Round 1 registration for the All India Quota seats will run from October 12 to 21.
