Eligibility Criteria

For admission to PG medical courses, candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2026.

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for admission to PG (MD/MS) courses.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • Internship: Candidates must complete their one-year internship on or before September 30, 2026.
  • Registration Certificate: Candidates must have a permanent or provisional MBBS registration certificate issued by the NMC or a State Medical Council.
  • Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRI candidates are eligible only for the 15% NRI quota in unaided private/minority colleges.
  • Domicile: Candidates must qualify as Maharashtra domicile — via 15 years’ continuous residence, parental domicile of 15+ years, schooling in Maharashtra from Class 1 to 12, or an MBBS from a Maharashtra-recognised institution. Maharashtra-domiciled candidates who completed MBBS outside the state (under 15% AIQ) are also eligible.

Documents Required

  • MBBS Certificate.
  • Mark sheets of MBBS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year examinations.
  • Medical Registration Certificate (NMC/State Medical Council).

  • Photo identity proof — Certificate with attested photo from the Head of the Institution/Passport/Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving Licence.
