NEET PG 2025 Counselling Round 2 Choice Filling Extended Till 12 December

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for NEET PG 2025 Round 2 choice filling and locking. Candidates can now fill and lock their preferences until 12 December 2025. This extension comes amid major updates to the Round 2 seat matrix, giving aspirants more opportunities to secure a postgraduate medical seat.

MCC recently revised the Round 2 matrix by adding 2,620 new PG medical seats, increasing the total number of seats available for allotment in this round to 32,080. This includes:

• 17,623 clear vacancies
• 11,837 virtual vacancies
• 2,620 newly added seats

This substantial increase in seats has led to the decision to extend the deadline, ensuring students have sufficient time to review the updated seat matrix and make informed choices.

Steps for NEET PG 2025 Counselling Choice Filling and Locking

Students can complete the choice filling and locking process by following these steps:

1. Visit the official MCC NEET PG website– mcc.nic.in
2. Log in using your registered NEET PG credentials.
3. Go to the “Choice Filling” section available on the dashboard.
4. Select preferred colleges and courses from the updated seat matrix.
5. Arrange choices in order of priority, placing the highest preferred course at the top.
6. Save choices frequently to avoid any loss of data.
7. Click on “Lock Choices” to finalise your preferences before the deadline.
8. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Why Has MCC Extended the Choice Filling Date?
