MCC Revises NEET PG Round 2 Seat Matrix After Resignation & Withdrawal

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced important changes in the NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 2 seat matrix following resignations and withdrawals by candidates and institutes. The updated notice was issued on December 12, 2025, by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

As per the official notification, MCC has added new seats, withdrawn duplicated seats, and modified quota details for AFMS seats. These changes have been implemented after verification and communication from the concerned medical colleges and authorities.

Key Updates in NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Counselling

• Addition of seats: Several MD/MS/DNB seats have been added under Annexure-I after candidates resigned from previously allotted seats.
• Withdrawal of seats: Certain seats have been removed due to duplication or incorrect contribution by institutes (Annexure-II).
• AFMS quota changes: Quota adjustments have been made for Armed Forces Medical Services seats (Annexure-III).

The revised seat matrix includes government, private, deemed universities, and DNB institutes across multiple specialties such as General Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, Dermatology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Anaesthesiology, Psychiatry, and more.

Round 2 Choice Filling Schedule Revised

MCC has officially resumed the choice filling process for Round 2 of NEET PG Counselling 2025.

• Choice locking started: 4:00 PM, December 12, 2025
• Last date for choice locking: 1:00 PM, December 13, 2025

Candidates are advised to carefully review the updated seat matrix before locking their preferences.

Important Advisory for Colleges and Candidates

MCC has strictly instructed all participating colleges to verify their seat matrix before the Round 2 result processing. Any discrepancy or duplication reported after seat processing will not be entertained. Institutes must complete verification before 1:00 PM on December 13, 2025.
