New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially uploaded the revised and final Seat Matrix for Postgraduate Broad Specialist (BS) courses for the academic year 2025-26. This updated matrix includes seats granted to various Government Medical Colleges across the country.
The announcement was made through a public notice issued by Dr. M.K. Ramesh, President, MARB, on October 30, 2025.
Key Highlights
- Revised PG Seat Matrix Uploaded: The final Seat Matrix for Broad Specialist (BS) courses, after including the newly approved seats for AY 2025–26, is now available on the official NMC website– www.nmc.org.in.
- Counselling Authorities Can Proceed Without LOPs: The Letters of Permission (LOPs) for the newly sanctioned seats are still being processed, but the NMC has clarified that counselling authorities need not wait for the issuance of LOPs.
- Valid for Counselling Process: The uploaded seat matrix shall be considered a valid document for use during the PG medical counselling process.
