New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India has once again postponed the hearing of a pivotal petition concerning transparency in the NEET PG 2025 examination process. Originally scheduled for September 23, the hearing has now been deferred to September 26, 2025.
Why the NEET PG Hearing Keeps Getting Postponed
The recurring delays have left thousands of medical aspirants anxious. Petitioners, including NEET PG candidates and the United Doctors Front (UDF), are demanding the release of complete answer keys, raw scores, and the normalization formula used in results.
One of the main reasons for the adjournments is the absence of key government representatives during hearings. For example, on October 4, 2024, the hearing was postponed because a central government official could not attend. Similarly, on March 25, 2025, a special bench was formed for another urgent case, causing another delay.
How the Delays Affect NEET PG Aspirants
The uncertainty has a direct impact on candidates. Delays in hearing have postponed the release of critical information such as answer keys and the normalization process. This prevents students from evaluating their performance and planning their next steps. Counselling schedules have also been affected, adding to the stress and confusion.
Supreme Court Hearing Update
The Supreme Court is set to hear the matter on September 26, 2025. Petitioners hope for clear directions on transparency, including publication of raw scores, answer keys, and the normalization formula. The medical community is eagerly waiting for a resolution that ensures fairness, clarity, and accountability in the NEET PG examination system.
