The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has started the registration process for NEET PG 2025 counselling for admission to state-quota MD/MS courses. This year, the counselling brings a major policy update- Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and non-Keralite service doctors are now eligible to participate in the Kerala NEET PG counselling process.

Kerala NEET PG 2025 Major Changes
Based on Supreme Court and Kerala High Court orders, the CEE Kerala has introduced the following changes:
- Eligibility (Citizenship & Nativity)
- Applicants must be Indian citizens of Kerala origin.
- Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission, unless otherwise notified.
- OCI Candidates (As per Supreme Court 2023 Order)
- OCI cardholders are not treated at par with Indian citizens.
- They can apply for general seats and NRI quota seats.
- They will not be eligible for reservation benefits.
- Non-Keralite MBBS Graduates
- Candidates whose parents are non-Keralite but who have completed MBBS from a Kerala medical college are eligible.
- Such candidates will not get communal, special, or disability reservation benefits.
- Service Quota (As per Kerala High Court 2024 Judgment)
- The nativity clause was struck down.
- Non-Keralite service doctors are now eligible to apply under the service quota.
