NEET PG 2026 Branch Predictor Launched: Check Branch-Wise College Chances

Make us preferred source on Google

Most NEET PG rank predictors work backwards from a candidate’s score to a generic list of colleges. A newly launched tool reverses that order – candidates first lock in the branch they actually want, and the tool then builds a college shortlist around that choice.

About the Predictor

The NEET PG 2026 Branch Predictor matches a candidate’s profile against more than 10,500 closing-rank records drawn from the 2025 counselling cycle. Coverage spans three quota types – All India Quota (AIQ), State Quota, and Deemed university seats – across MD, MS, and Diploma courses. Every match is checked against the final closing AIR recorded across all published 2025 rounds, from Round 1 through the stray vacancy round, and each result carries a margin percentage showing how safe that rank actually is.

How It Works – Step by Step

The tool runs on a three-step profile builder before generating a report:

👉 NEET PG Branch Predictor 2026

Step 1: Category & Score

  • Category: Open/UR, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, or ST
  • PwD quota applicability (yes/no)
  • NEET-PG 2026 score (0–800 range)
  • Home state, used specifically to match State Quota eligibility

Step 2: Branch & Budget Preferences

  • One or more target branches – from MD General Medicine, MD Radiodiagnosis, MD Dermatology, MD Paediatrics, and MD Psychiatry to MS General Surgery, MS Orthopaedics, MS Ophthalmology, MS ENT, MD Anaesthesiology, MD Emergency Medicine, MD Pathology, MD Microbiology, MD Pharmacology, MD Community Medicine, MD Forensic Medicine, and MD Nuclear Medicine, among others
  • Leaving the branch field blank shows every branch the candidate is currently competitive for
  • A maximum course fee ceiling – No preference, up to ₹15 lakh, up to ₹30 lakh, up to ₹60 lakh, or no limit – used to rank Deemed and management-quota options

Step 3: Identity Verification

  • Full name, email address, and a mobile number verified via a 4-digit OTP, used only to secure the report for that session

Once submitted, the system runs the profile against the AIQ, Deemed, and State Quota cutoff database and generates a personalised report.

Sample Profile Match

The tool illustrates its logic with a worked example: a candidate targeting MD Radiodiagnosis, holding AIR 18,420 under the OBC-NCL category, with home state Rajasthan, opting into AIQ + State + Deemed counselling. Against this profile, the report returns a “Strong State” match at a government medical college in Rajasthan, a “Possible AIQ” match at a medical college under All India Quota, and a “Reach Deemed” match at a university medical institute – showing how the same rank produces three different chance levels depending on the quota route.

What the Report Contains

Each generated report displays:

  • Estimated percentile
  • Total matches found
  • High-chance, good-chance, and borderline seat counts
  • Number of branches in reach
  • Number of states represented
  • The quota that returned the most matches

Matches are graded into three bands:

  • High chance – rank comfortably clears the previous year’s closing cutoff
  • Good chance – rank falls within the closing range
  • Borderline – possible only in later rounds or stray vacancy

Reserved-category candidates are checked against both their own category cutoff and the Open category cutoff, and the better eligible outcome is the one displayed.

Filtering the Shortlist

The results page can be refined by quota (AIQ, Deemed, State), branch, and chance category, and sorted by best chance first, fee (low to high), stipend (high to low), or closing AIR (low to high). Reports can be printed or saved as a PDF directly from the results page.

Limitation Candidates Should Note

The tool describes itself as a directional planning aid, not a guarantee of admission. Candidates are advised to cross-verify every shortlisted option with official MCC or respective state counselling bulletins before finalising any decision.
