Key Rules Candidates Should Note

  • Rank card: It will be prepared from NEET PG 2026 AIR for candidates who register and pay between 22 and 28 October. It can be downloaded using the PGMAC ID and date of birth.
  • Private colleges: Bihar domicile candidates who selected UR/EWS can take part in private college counselling even if they belong to a reserved category. Non-domicile candidates are not eligible for private college admission on reserved-category cut-off marks.
  • NRI quota: Candidates must select “NRI” at registration and upload the documents required under the MCC notice dated 27 May 2026. These include the NEET score card, passport, NRI certificate and a notarised sponsorship affidavit. The documents will be verified before the rank card is published.
  • DQ quota: The DQ certificate, UDID card and affidavit must all be uploaded. A missing document makes the candidate ineligible for the DQ quota.
  • Remote and difficult area reservation: Medical officers claiming it must enter service details and upload an experience certificate (para 5.4 of the prospectus).
  • Freeze and Float: Freeze candidates must report physically to the allotted institute for verification and admission. Float candidates opt for upgradation and have their documents verified online.
  • Round 1 free exit: Round 1 allottees can exit without forfeiting the security deposit and become eligible for Round 2, but must fill fresh choices.
  • Round 2 resignation: Resigning a Round 2 seat leads to forfeiture of the security deposit.
  • Round 3 eligibility: Candidates admitted in Round 1 or 2 who do not resign are not eligible for Round 3.
  • Round 2 registration: Fresh registration for Round 2 is not allowed unless new institutions or branches are added.

Documents Required

Candidates should keep ready the residential certificate, caste and EWS certificates (if applicable), MBBS marksheets and passing certificate, internship completion certificate, medical registration certificate, NEET PG admit card, Aadhaar, NOC from employer, PGMAC rank card, confirmation page and six photographs. Some documents apply only to certain categories.

Fee Structure of Private Colleges

The Board has advised candidates to check the course-wise and college-wise fee of private colleges before filling choices. It says private colleges have high fees and it will not accept complaints about them. Details are on the BCECEB website and the colleges’ websites.

Candidates should read the PGMAC 2026 prospectus before applying and should not wait for the last date, as the Board will not be responsible for internet or banking interruptions. The official portal and notices are at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, and the helpdesk number is 0612-2220230.
