MCC NEET PG 2026: Institutes Asked to Verify Seat Matrix

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has asked all participating institutes to check the seat matrix for NEET PG counselling 2026 and report any errors. The instruction is in Notice-4, dated October 15, 2026, issued by the MCC office under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

MCC PG Counselling 2026 Seat Matrix Verification: What the Notice Says

The notice is addressed to all participating institutes, colleges and hospitals. It asks them to:

• Verify the seat matrix carefully
• Make sure the number of seats shown for each PG course at their institution is correct
• Report any discrepancy to MCC before the Round 1 choice-filling schedule for PG Counselling 2026 is completed

The subject line of the notice is “Verification of PG Counselling 2026 Seat Matrix and Reporting of Discrepancies Before Completion of Round 1 Choice Filling.”

Why This Matters for NEET PG Candidates

The seat matrix shows how many seats are available in each course at each institute. Candidates use it to plan their choices for Round 1. If an institute finds that its seat numbers are wrong, MCC can correct them before choice filling ends. Candidates should therefore check the matrix again before locking choices, since numbers may change.
