KEA Stray Vacancy Round 2025: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an extension of the Stray Vacancy Round for PG Medical Courses 2025, providing another opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission to remaining postgraduate medical seats in the state.
According to the official notification issued on 10 March 2026, the stray vacancy seat allotment results were earlier announced on 7 March 2026. However, after the initial round, 783 PG Medical seats remained vacant, prompting KEA to conduct an extended online seat allotment process to fill these remaining seats.
Submission of DD and Documents
Candidates interested in participating in the extended stray vacancy round must submit the full course fee through Demand Draft (DD) or cheque drawn in favour of Executive Director, KEA, payable at Bengaluru. The payment and required original documents must be submitted in person at KEA office, Malleswaram, Bengaluru.
The submission window is scheduled for:
- Date: 11 March 2026
- Time: 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Only candidates who submit the full fee DD along with original documents will be allowed to participate in the online option entry process.
Option Entry and Result Schedule
After document verification and fee submission, eligible candidates can enter their choices for the available PG medical seats.
Key schedule:
- Option Entry: 11 March 2026, 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM
- Seat Allotment Result: After 7:00 PM on 11 March 2026
- Last Date for Admission: 12 March 2026 by 5:30 PM
Candidates who receive a seat allotment must report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities before the deadline, otherwise the allotment will be cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria
To participate in this extended stray vacancy round, candidates must:
- Have qualified NEET PG 2025.
- Not have been allotted any PG Medical seat in previous KEA counselling rounds.
However, the following candidates are not eligible:
- Candidates who have already joined a college through any of the three KEA rounds.
- Candidates allotted seats through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) or Deemed Universities / other institutions.
- Candidates who have already been allotted a seat in the MCC Stray Vacancy Round.
