New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the updated list of designated Disability Certification Centres authorized to issue valid Disability Certificates for candidates applying under the 5% PwD reservation quota for Broad Specialty PG Courses. These centres will evaluate candidates strictly as per the Government of India guidelines and categories mentioned in the Disability Certificate format.
As per NMC norms, only certificates issued from these notified institutions will be accepted during NEET UG/PG counselling for PwD quota eligibility.
Key Highlights of the Updated Centres List
NMC has identified 33 Disability Certification Centres across India. These include major government medical colleges, national institutes, and specialty hospitals covering all types of disabilities including locomotor, visual, hearing, speech, intellectual and behavioural categories.

Why PwD Candidates Must Visit Only These Centres?
- These centres strictly follow NMC, RPwD Act 2016, and Gazette norms.
- Certificates from any other hospital or doctor will not be accepted for PwD quota.
- Medical boards at these centres include specialists across disciplines to ensure accurate disability assessment.
PwD Candidates: Important Instructions
- Carry previous medical records, test reports, disability proof (if available).
- Visit the centre well before counselling deadlines.
- Ensure the certificate is issued in the prescribed NMC format.
- Visual disability candidates should carry LVAs where applicable.
