Fee and Upgradation Rules

  • Candidates who do not want upgradation in Round 2 or Round 3 must pay the required admission fee to the college.
  • Candidates who opt for upgradation may defer the bond or bank guarantee for the present round. They must still pay the required course fee at the college by the Round 3 admission process.
  • The option of willingness to participate in Round 2 and Round 3 is available to all candidates allotted in Round 1. It must be submitted online at the allotted college, and candidates should check their willingness status in the admission letter.
  • Candidates who do not give willingness cannot fill choices in the next round and keep their Round 1 seat.
  • Candidates who give willingness and fill choices but get no fresh allotment also keep their earlier seat.
  • If a candidate gets a new allotment after upgradation, the earlier seat is automatically cancelled. The candidate must take back the fee, original documents and the server-generated relieving letter from the previous college, then join the new college within the schedule.

Candidates Who Miss Round 1

  • Candidates who do not report in Round 1 become “not reported” candidates. They can still fill choices afresh in Round 2.
  • Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 can also fill choices afresh in Round 2.
  • Candidates who surrender their seat after admission are out of the counselling process.

Final Physical Verification

Even after successful document verification at the choice-filling stage, there will be another round of final physical document verification at the allotted college during admission.

Category and PwD Certificate Rules

  • SC, ST, OBC or EWS candidate allotted an unreserved seat (having secured the unreserved cutoff): If the caste certificate is not produced, admission is granted but the candidature is changed to unreserved in the software. The candidate can then apply for upgradation as unreserved.
  • SC, ST, OBC or EWS candidate allotted a reserved seat who cannot produce a valid certificate: The candidature is changed to unreserved and the seat is cancelled for that round. The candidate can take part in the next round as unreserved only if the unreserved cutoff was obtained. Otherwise, the candidate is out of counselling.
  • PwD candidates are treated the same way, with the candidature changed to non-PwD status if a valid PwD certificate is not produced.

Admission Through NIC Server Only

All admissions must be completed on the NIC (National Informatics Centre) server within the admission schedule. Candidates must collect one copy of the server-generated admission or cancellation letter. Otherwise, the admission will not be considered and the seat will go to the next round as vacant.

Seat Surrender

Candidates not satisfied with their seat must personally appear before the college authority and surrender it as per the seat surrender schedule. This is allowed only up to Round 2. The college must generate the surrender slip through the NIC server. Otherwise, the surrender is not valid and the seat will not show as vacant in the next round.
