New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released an advisory for all NBEMS-accredited hospitals regarding the reporting and joining process of candidates allotted seats through NEET PG AIQ 2025 counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW).
Key Highlights of the Advisory
- Mandatory Compliance with MCC Guidelines: NBEMS-accredited hospitals are directed to follow the counselling schedule, scheme, and information bulletin available on MCC’s official website.
- Document Verification: All hospitals must verify the original documents of candidates at the time of reporting or joining. Only medically fit candidates (as certified by the hospital’s medical board) will be permitted to join the course.
- Payment of Annual Course Fee: Candidates allotted NBEMS seats must pay the first-year annual course fee through the official NBEMS portal:

Hospitals must confirm the payment receipt before approving joining. Non-payment will lead to the seat being declared vacant and passed to the next round. - Timely Status Updates on Intra-MCC Portal: Hospitals must update each candidate’s reporting/joining status within the MCC-specified timeframe. Failure to update may result in forfeiture of the seat.
- NBEMS Online Portal (OPJR): The Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR) will remain inactive until all counselling rounds conclude. Hospitals can upload joining status and documents only after completion of all rounds.
- Training Start Date: Candidates must report and join within the specified window of their counselling round. No extensions will be allowed. The training period will be counted from the date of joining.
- Guidelines for In-service Candidates: Doctors working in Central/State Government, Railways, PSUs, or ESIC must produce a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) and study leave approval from their parent organisation before joining.
