Reservation Roster
The matrix uses the Model 200-point reservation roster. A note in the document says the Chhattisgarh Government reservation percentage is the same as last year, so the roster has been carried forward. Each college continues from the roster point where its last academic year ended. For example, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College starts from point 23 and CIMS Bilaspur from point 104.
The roster covers UR, SC, ST and OBC categories, with a separate column for special ST seats (marked ST Spc). Some seats also carry a PwBD tag. The EWS roster is applied at two colleges, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College (7 EWS seats) and CIMS Bilaspur (5 EWS seats). The other eight colleges use the roster without EWS.
Subjects Covered
Seats are listed subject-wise in alphabetical order, covering both MD and MS branches, including Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Pathology and Radiodiagnosis. The subjects offered differ by college, so candidates should check the matrix for their branch.
What Candidates Should Do
- Check the subject-wise seats and category for each college before filling choices.
- Note whether a private college seat is Institutional or Open quota.
- Read the official counselling notice for the schedule, fees and eligibility rules, as the matrix does not give these
