The official Himachal Pradesh schedule has not been announced yet. In earlier cycles, AMRU released the prospectus and opened registration a few weeks after the NEET PG result, and state Round 1 allotment followed the MCC Round 1 process. MCC Round 1 choice filling for 2026 is currently open until October 22. Treat HP dates as awaited until AMRU notifies them:

Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Counselling Rounds and Seat Quota

Admissions are made online through AMRU, not at the college:

• Rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy round(s). The number of stray rounds depends on how many seats remain vacant.
• Quotas: Seats are filled under HP Quota (Direct), HP Quota (In-Service), Management and NRI categories, as shown in AMRU’s allotment lists.
• Single Girl Child seat: In 2025, AMRU earmarked the last general-category seat in every participating government medical college for the Single Girl Child category. If no eligible candidate takes it, the seat stays vacant until Round 3.
• Provisional vs final list: A provisional list is released first and can change if a candidate is allotted an All India Quota seat by MCC. Download the provisional allotment letter from your login before approaching any college. AMRU states that admission is not considered without its seat allocation.

Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Eligibility and Domicile Criteria

• Qualify NEET PG 2026 by securing at least the minimum qualifying percentile for your category.
• Hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised college, with internship completed and a valid medical council registration.
• Register on the AMRU portal within the notified window.
• For HP state-quota seats, show HP domicile (Himachali Bonafide) or the institutional eligibility set out in the AMRU prospectus. Non-Himachali candidates who completed MBBS in Himachal Pradesh can be eligible under the institutional criteria, so read the 2026-27 prospectus carefully.
• Candidates from other states can compete only for the seats the prospectus opens to them, mainly Management and NRI seats.

1. Open amruhp.ac.in and go to Counselling Notifications, then the MD/MS Counselling tab.
2. Open the notice titled “Provisional/Final Seat Allocation of MD/MS/DNB Counselling 2026” for your round.
3. Download the PDF and check your rank, quota, college, and course.
4. Log in to the candidate portal and download your provisional allotment letter.

Steps After Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Seat Allotment 2026

Step 1: Confirm Your Allotment. Check your allotted college, course, and quota. Download and print the provisional allotment letter.

Step 2: Report to the Allotted College. Visit the allotted college before the deadline with all required original documents and photocopies for verification.

Step 3: Pay the Admission Fee. Pay the prescribed admission fee according to your college and quota to confirm your seat.

Step 4: Complete the Admission Process. Submit the required documents, complete admission formalities, and confirm your joining date.

Step 5: Check Upgrade and Surrender Rules. Review the official counselling rules for seat upgrades, surrender, and withdrawal before making any decision.
