The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule soon. Reports suggest the dates may be announced on or after September 5, 2025, at mcc.nic.in. The counselling will be held in four rounds for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and candidates who have qualified with the minimum cutoff must register online and fill choices to take part in seat allotment.
Supreme Court on Answer Key Plea
The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on a petition about NEET PG 2025 answer key transparency to next week. Petitioners argue that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has only released question IDs, correct answers, and candidate responses, without the full questions, making it hard for students to check their answers.
NBEMS had earlier promised to release the answer key with questions but later issued a correction limiting it to IDs only. This move has caused frustration among students, who believe it reduces transparency. The court, during its September 4 hearing, even questioned if the petition was filed simply because some students scored fewer marks.
Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) clarified that colleges do not need to apply again for seat recognition but must submit an annual disclosure report and course-wise fee details.
