The NEET PG Merit List 2026 is the primary basis for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma courses at medical colleges across India. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) uses the AIQ merit list for its 50% All India Quota rounds, while individual state counselling authorities prepare their own state merit lists from the same NEET PG scores for the remaining 50% state quota seats.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for NEET PG Rank List 2026
The order NBEMS follows to rank candidates who score identically:
- Candidate with fewer overall negative responses across the full exam is ranked higher.
- If the tie persists, fewer negative responses in Section A of the paper are considered.
- Next, fewer negative responses in Section B are considered.
- Next, fewer negative responses in Section C are considered.
- If still tied, the candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) across all MBBS professional examinations is preferred.
- If the tie remains unresolved, the candidate with greater age is placed higher.
