Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 is conducted by the NEET PG Admission/Counselling Board, Rajasthan, SMS Medical College, Jaipur for admission to MD/MS seats under the 50% state quota in government and private medical colleges across the state. The counselling board releases round-wise closing ranks for each college, course, quota and category after every counselling round. Since the Rajasthan NEET PG 2026 counselling process has not started yet, the round-wise admission cutoff is not available. Rajasthan does not prescribe a separate qualifying cutoff; candidates must meet the national NEET PG 2026 qualifying cutoff to participate in counselling.
For Rajasthan state-quota seats, allotment is based on the Rajasthan Combined State Merit Rank, while the 50% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges are allotted by MCC on the basis of All India Rank (AIR). Therefore, state merit ranks and AIR should not be compared directly. This page provides separate details on the NEET PG qualifying cutoff, Rajasthan state-quota closing ranks, AIQ closing ranks, category-wise cutoffs, private college score cutoffs, government vs private colleges, fees, stipend and bond, quotas and eligibility, college-wise seats, admission process, previous-year trends and other important cutoff-related information.

Rajasthan NEET PG Admission Process
These are the steps from registration to reporting in Rajasthan state counselling.
- Qualify NEET PG 2026.
- Complete Online Registration Part 1 and pay the fee (₹4,000, or ₹3,000 for SC/ST with Rajasthan domicile).
- Complete Application Part 2 and upload documents.
- Check the merit list.
- Pay the security deposit (₹1 lakh government, ₹2 lakh management seats in government society colleges/RUHS CMS, ₹5 lakh private) and fill fresh choices.
- Check the allotment, pay the one-year tuition fee and report physically to the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur.
- Upgrade in later rounds if you want a better seat.
- Stray Vacancy Round, if conducted.
Factors affecting the Rajasthan NEET PG cutoff
These are the main reasons closing ranks change from year to year:
- Seat availability: More seats lower the closing merit number for a branch.
- Number of eligible candidates: The state merit list includes only Rajasthan-eligible candidates.
- Exam difficulty: It changes the score spread and therefore the closing ranks.
- Category reservation: Cutoffs differ for OPEN, EWS, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD.
- Fresh choice filling: Candidates who don’t re-enter choices drop out of upgradation, so seats open up unpredictably.
- Non-joining penalties: Round 2 and 3 non-joining forfeits the deposit and removes a candidate from later rounds.
- Fees, bond and stipend: They influence preferences, especially in private colleges.
How to calculate the NEET PG Cutoff
The qualifying cutoff is worked out from percentile, not from a percentage of total marks.
Percentile = (Total candidates − Your rank) ÷ Total candidates × 100
For example, if 2,00,000 candidates appear (a made-up number), the candidate at rank 1,00,000 is at the 50th percentile and that candidate’s marks become the General cutoff. Percentile only decides whether you qualify. Your rank comes from actual marks and tie-breaking criteria.
Previous Year NEET PG Cutoff Trends
This table compares the qualifying cutoff across years, and the 2026 paper is out of 720 marks instead of 800:
| Year | General / EWS | SC / ST / OBC | General PwBD | Total marks |
| 2026 | 262 | 226 | 244 | 720 |
| 2025 | 276 | 235 | 255 | 800 |
| 2024 | 291 | 257 | 274 | 800 |
| 2023 | 291 | 257 | 274 | 800 |
| 2022 | 275 | 245 | 260 | 800 |
How to use the Rajasthan NEET PG cutoff
These steps turn the closing ranks above into a realistic choice list.
- Note your NEET PG 2026 rank and category.
- Decide your route: MCC AIQ (AIR), Rajasthan state quota (state merit rank), or the private open share.
- After the merit list, find your state merit rank and compare it with the state-quota tables. Compare your AIR only with the AIQ table.
- Mark 8–10 branches as safe, possible or stretch. Use the NEET PG college predictor and branch predictor.
- For private colleges, compare the full cost (fees, stipend, bond) on each profile.
- Prepare two lists, one for MCC and one for Rajasthan, since the rules differ.
