Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling
To participate in Maharashtra NEET PG counselling and be considered against seats in this seat matrix, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualified NEET PG 2026 with a valid rank/score.
- Hold a recognised MBBS degree with permanent/provisional registration from NMC or a State Medical Council.
- Completed (or will complete) the compulsory rotatory internship by the NBEMS-notified cutoff date (September 30, 2026, for NEET PG 2026).
- For state quota seats: Maharashtra domicile, or MBBS completed from a recognised Maharashtra medical college, along with a valid Maharashtra caste/category certificate where applicable.
- For All India Quota (AIQ) seats: open to candidates from any state; counselling conducted separately by the MCC.

- Mop-up/Stray Vacancy matrix: Final list of leftover seats, often including newly recognised or previously unfilled seats; open to a wider pool of eligible candidates as per CET Cell rules.
- Seats can also increase mid-cycle if NMC grants fresh recognition/renewal to a college after the counselling process begins.
