UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Admission to PG medical courses, candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria for Uttar Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2025:

• Age Limit: There is no age limit for admission to PG (MD/MS) courses.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an MBBS degree or a recognised certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Internship: Candidates must complete their one-year internship or have the original certificate on or before August 2025.
• Registration Certificate: Candidates must have a permanent or provisional MBBS registration certificate issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.

UP NEET UG Counselling Procedure 2025

Candidates can visit the official portal of the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, UP, to get themselves registered for NEET PG Counselling. Below, we have mentioned the step-by-step process of counselling.

• Only the candidates declared successful in the NEET PG entrance examination are eligible to participate in the counselling of UP NEET PG.
• The portal will be opened only once for online registration of eligible candidates under UP NEET PG Counselling.
• Only the candidates registered on the dates prescribed above will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for the first round, second round, third round and stray vacancy round. Online registration for UP NEET PG will not be opened for every round of counselling, nor will the applications received in this regard be considered.
• For the counselling of UP NEET PG, the eligible candidates must register by logging on to the website https://upneet.gov and depositing the registration fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rs. three thousand only) online. The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• The Security Money is Rs. 30,000/- (Rs. thirty thousand only) for the seats in the government sector (MD/MS/Diploma/DNB courses) and Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. two lakh only) for the seats in the private sector (MD/MS courses) to participate in the counselling for private and government seats.
• Rs.2,00,000/-, the candidate will be eligible for ‘counselling opt and the security amount of such candidates whose security amount is not deposited will not be eligible for choice filling in the counselling process.
• Disability certificates of disabled candidates will be valid only in the format issued by the centres prescribed by the Government of India.

Step-by-Step Process

Steps	Description
Step1: Registration	Candidates must first register themselves on the official counselling website of UP by using their NEET PG Roll no and other required details.
Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee	Candidates are required to pay the prescribed counselling fee online, which is non-refundable.
Step 3: Choice filling and Locking	Once the payment of the registration fee is completed, the candidate can select the preferred college and courses from the available options based on their eligibility.
Step 4: Document Verification	Candidates need to upload and verify required documents online including their NEET PG scorecards, certificates, ID proof etc.
Step 5: Seat Allotment	Seats are allotted to the candidates by the counselling authority based on their rank, choices filled and seat availability.
Step 6: Reporting to Allotted College	The candidate downloads the allotment letter and reports to the allotted college within a specified timeframe with original documents for verification.
Step 7: Upgradation and further Rounds	Candidate can opt for a further round if not satisfied with the allotted seat and college.

Security Money

The candidates must deposit a certain amount of Uttar Pradesh NEET PG Counselling security money at the allotted seats. Below are the fees mentioned for both categories:

Documents Required

• MBBS Certificate.
• MBBS 3^rd Part II mark sheet.
• Medical Registration Certificate.
• Internship Completion Certificate.
• Photo identity proof in the form of a Certificate with an attested photo from the Head of the Institution last studied/Copy of Passport/Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Driving License (Self-attested photocopy after verifying with the original documents).
• Copy of: Birth Certificate for proof of age (if the date of birth is not given in the HSC mark sheet/ certificate).
• NEET Score Card.
• Copy of Online Counselling Registration Certificate.
• Sponsorship Certificate from the State Govt. If applicable.
• Passport-size Photographs, 8 copies.
