NRI / Management Quota Fee Structure

  • NRI quota is available in most private and deemed medical colleges, typically ranging from USD 70,000 – USD 1,75,000 per year, depending on the college and specialization (clinical courses at the higher end, non-clinical at the lower end).
  • Management quota seats in private colleges are generally charged at the same DGME-notified rate as general category seats, unless the college has separate NRI-linked management fees – confirm this at the time of choice-filling.
  • Deemed universities set their own NRI fee independent of the state DGME schedule (see Santosh Medical College table above for an example).

Fee Payment Schedule and Bond Policy

  • Tuition fees must be paid annually; no college is permitted to collect the entire 3-year course fee as a lump sum or in advance.
  • Colleges may charge less than the DGME-approved fee at their discretion, but never more.
  • Government medical colleges in UP typically require a service bond post-PG completion; check the State-wise Bond for NEET PG guide for UP-specific bond amount, duration, and penalty details.
  • Always insist on an official fee receipt with a full breakup before making any payment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is UP private PG expensive compared to other states?

UP private PG fees are generally moderate – costlier than some low-fee northern states but more affordable than several private institutes in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Can I get a stipend in UP private colleges?

Some private colleges pay a stipend (commonly reported around ₹20,000–₹35,000/month at select institutes), but this is not universal – always verify with the specific college.

Is there any hidden fee apart from tuition?

Yes – hostel, mess and clinical/lab charges are typically additional and can add approximately ₹1.5–2 Lakh per annum, depending on the institute.

Do UP colleges accept NRI candidates for PG

It varies by institute – some private and deemed colleges offer an NRI quota with USD-denominated fees, while others do not offer this quota at all. Confirm on a college-by-college basis.

Can the notified PG fee change after I’ve reported for admission?

For newly permitted PG courses awaiting a finalised DGME rate, admission may proceed on a provisional fee basis, with adjustment against the final notified fee once approved.
