Arunachal Pradesh NEET PG Round-wise Cutoff for Government Colleges
TRIHMS, Naharlagun is the only government college with MD/MS seats in the state, so the round-wise cutoff has two parts: the MCC All India Quota seats and the DMET state quota seats. Official rank-wise closing data is released only after each round, so the tables below are set up round-wise and will be filled as results come out.

State Quota vs All India Quota Cutoff
The two quotas behave very differently, and mixing them up is a common mistake when reading a cutoff:
| Particulars | State Quota | All India Quota (AIQ) |
|---|---|---|
| Conducted by | DMET, Arunachal Pradesh | Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) |
| Who can apply | State Open, Institutional and In-Service candidates | Any NEET PG 2026 qualified candidate |
| Cutoff released as | DMET round-wise result notices | MCC round-wise allotment and closing ranks |
| Courses | MD, MS, DNB, Post-MBBS Diploma | MD, MS |
| Registration | dmetrap.in | mcc.nic.in |
Category-Wise Cutoff and Eligibility for State Quota
State quota seats are divided among three categories, and seats are allocated using the 200 roster point system:
- State Open: MBBS or an equivalent degree from any NMC-recognised institution in India or abroad (foreign graduates must have cleared the screening test), and belonging to a Scheduled Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Institutional: MBBS from an NMC-recognised institution within Arunachal Pradesh.
- In-Service (APHS): The existing eligibility criteria for sponsored or in-service candidates apply, and DNB and Diploma seats are generally offered to this category.
Factors Affecting Arunachal Pradesh NEET PG Cutoff 2026
The Arunachal Pradesh NEET PG cutoff may vary each year due to several factors:
- Very few seats: With only 2 seats in most branches, one candidate joining or leaving can change a closing rank sharply.
- Number of candidates: Higher competition for the AIQ seats at TRIHMS can lower the closing rank.
- Exam difficulty: An easier or tougher paper changes the marks-to-rank spread, and so the closing ranks.
- Seat availability: Any change in the NMC seat matrix, or seats added later, directly affects cutoffs.
- Category and quota: State Open, Institutional and In-Service candidates have separate merit lists, and AIQ ranks are not comparable with them.
- Qualifying percentile: Any reduction in the qualifying percentile can widen closing ranks in later rounds.
- Seat upgrades and exits: Candidates who upgrade, surrender or do not join push seats into later rounds, and closing ranks move with them.
- Bond, stipend and location: Remote location, bond rules and stipend amounts influence candidate preferences. Compare them using the state-wise bond and state-wise stipend pages.
How to Calculate NEET PG Cutoff 2026
The qualifying cutoff is based on percentile, not on a percentage of the total marks.
- Exam pattern: NEET PG 2026 has 180 questions and 720 marks.
- Qualifying percentile: General / EWS 50th, General PwBD 45th, SC / ST / OBC 40th.
- Formula: Percentile = (Total candidates − Your rank) ÷ Total candidates × 100
- Example: If 2,00,000 candidates appear (a made-up number), the marks of the candidate at rank 1,00,000 become the General cutoff.
- Rank vs percentile: Your rank depends on raw marks. Percentile only checks if you qualify.
Previous Year NEET PG Cutoff Trends
The qualifying cutoff has changed from year to year and in several years it was reduced during counselling to fill seats:
| Year | General / EWS | SC / ST / OBC | General PwBD | Total Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 262 (50th percentile) | 226 (40th percentile) | 244 (45th percentile) | 720 |
| 2025 | 276 (50th percentile) | 235 (40th percentile) | 255 (45th percentile) | 800 |
| 2024 | 50th percentile | 40th percentile | 45th percentile | 800 |
| 2023 | 291 (50th percentile) | 257 (40th percentile) | 274 (45th percentile) | 800 |
| 2022 | 275 (50th percentile) | 245 (40th percentile) | 260 (45th percentile) | 800 |
How to Use the Arunachal Pradesh NEET PG Cutoff
- Note your All India Rank and category. Rank matters more than marks, and your quota decides which list you compete in.
- Shortlist 8 to 10 branches you would genuinely accept, keeping in mind that TRIHMS offers only 11 specialties.
- Match your rank with the MCC closing ranks for TRIHMS as each round is released, and mark every option as safe, possible or a stretch.
- Check the quick estimate with the NEET PG college predictor and branch predictor.
- Compare the full cost of your options: fee, stipend, and bond.
- Prepare two lists: one for MCC and one for Arunachal Pradesh state counselling, since the rules and eligibility differ.
- Keep a backup in other states and deemed universities, because seats here are very limited.
- Fill and lock your choices carefully
